How to add a link to an email

If you want to add a link to an email to a task or an event in Sorted³, there are currently 2 ways:

  1. If the email app can generate links to emails, you can paste a link to task's or event's notes in Sorted³.
  2. If you use Apple Mail, you can attach a link, following these steps:

iPad

  • Open Sorted³ and Apple Mail in Split View (you can read how to do this here).
  • Click and hold the email until it "goes up".
  • Drag it to the schedule of the day or list in Sorted³. You will see an email thumbnail and a green plus button before you release it.
  • Release your finger (cursor). A new task with a link will be created. You can then move it to the notes section and give the task a name. This will not work if you try to move the email to the notes section of an existing task.

Mac

  • Open Sorted³ and Apple Mail in Split View or with the windows side by side. Then follow the same steps as described above.

iPhone

  • Open Apple Mail.
  • Tap and hold the email you want - a preview will open.
  • Without lifting your finger, slide the email to either left of right - it should become rectangular again. If it does not, release the email and try again.
  • Without lifting your finger, minimize Apple Mail and open Sorted³. Use both hands to reach this.
  • Place the email thumbnail with the plus icon displayed at the desired location in the schedule or list, then release your finger.
